  • 25th Annual General Meeting
    Time: Mid-afternoon
    Begin the event with our Annual General Meeting. It’s a crucial time for engaging in meaningful discussions about the current state and future of our Bighorn Sheep populations. This meeting will set strategic planning for 2024/2025, along with the election for our Board of Directors.

  • Friday Night Social

Annual Ram Awards – Submission Reminder

Join us at the 2024 Bighorn Banquet where we honor the year’s most remarkable achievements with our Annual Ram Awards. If you’ve had a successful hunt this season, we invite you to submit your entries for the following categories:

  • Biggest Rifle Ram
    • Criteria: Must be an Alberta bighorn.
    • Requirements: Include a picture and official scoring.

  • Biggest Archery Ram
    • Criteria: Must be an Alberta bighorn.
    • Requirements: Include a picture and official scoring.

  • Oldest Ram
    • Criteria: Must be an Alberta bighorn.
    • Requirements: Include a picture and official age verification.

  • Biggest International Ram
    • Criteria: Any sheep harvested outside Alberta.
    • Requirements: Include a picture and official scoring.

  • Franklin W. Ross Guide of the Year
    • Awarded to: A guide who exemplifies the spirit and dedication to wild sheep conservation.
    • Submission: Via nomination. (Send us an email.)

  • Alvin Guinn Youth Hunter of the Year
    • Eligibility: Youth hunters are invited to submit a written report/presentation about their hunting journey and the significance of hunting in our heritage and future.

Important Notes:

  • All ram award contenders must be members of WSFAB prior to the harvest.
  • For entrants under 18, the parent/guardian must have been a member at the time of harvest, and the entrant must be a member at the time of submission.
